All dogs taken into the training program must have a current health certificate with proof of vaccinations (rabies, distemper, etc.) and a negative heartworm test. Although Lyme disease has not been a problem on our grounds, we recommend that you ask your veterinarian about whether to have your dog vaccinated against Lyme disease. |

 Chokebore Kennels offers a puppy program modeled after one used by the late Robert G. Wehle, founder of Elhew Kennels. This is a jump-start program for puppies 3 months and older. Puppies are worked on a variety of game birds, put through a proper introduction to the gun and taught early yard work. Space for this program is limited. |

All dogs are worked on a variety of game birds including quail, pheasant, grouse and woodcock. We also offer year-round shooting over the dogs as part of
our training program.
